Chicken or Egg question solved!!!!!!!!

The egg came first. You see, an almost-evolved animal could give a fully-evolved egg, but an almost-evolved egg MUST give a almost-evolved animal. I'M A GENIUS!!!!!!! The egg came from a almost-chicken!!

  1. I usually answer that crocodiles, fish, dinosaurs and other things were laying eggs long, LONG before chickens existed. Or even birds.

Your answer is sound, though. A proto-chicken could lay a chicken egg, but a chicken could not hatch from a proto-chicken egg.

Tiny quibble, there's no such thing as "almost-evolved". Whatever came before chickens were full creatures themselves, not progressing towards being chickens. Your meaning is clear, but the language is imprecise.

How's the Tale of Q-G-23 coming?
